After being released by the Denver Broncos last season, running back J.J. Arrington is now set to return to his former team.
Sources told Fox31’s Josina Anderson Thursday afternoon that Arrington has just signed a one-year contract. The terms of the deal were not disclosed at the time.
Arrington was on his way back to the airport at the time of this report.
Last year Arrington signed a four-year, $10 million deal on Mar. 4, but had just underwent a knee operation a month prior. Thus, Arrington had trouble working into the team’s offseason activities and was eventually cut.
Arrington, 27, was a second-round choice of the Arizona Cardinals in 2005.
