WESTWORD COWARDS?

Over the years Westword has made a concerted effort to discredit me in numerous negative articles that were mostly filled with inaccuracies, lies and innuendos.

 

A recent article by Coward/Reporter Jared Jacang Maher accused me of having a financial interest in an energy drink that I featured on my radio and TV shows.  This is absolutely NOT TRUE.

 

He also wrote that I attended the organizational rally for the energy drink at the Soiled Dove.  This is also NOT TRUE.

 

He also wrote I was in several partnerships with the sponsor behind the energy drink.  Again:  NOT TRUE.

 

He also wrote that I did not return his calls.  Yet, there is not one voice mail from him or were there missed calls anywhere.  Although he has me cell phone and my producer’s cell phone, he said he called the “Troubleshooter Line”.  Fortunately, we keep good track of those voicemails and there was not one from him.  Another LIE?

 

Why is it that Cowardly Jared and Westword are hell-bent on trying to make me look bad?  I have no idea.  Is it professional jealousy? Or just bad journalism?

 

I do know this:  THEY DO NOT WANT THE TRUTH AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO OPERATE UNDER THE LIGHT OF DAY.

 

You see, I took my TV Cameras and caught up with Cowardly Jared at a McDonald’s.  When he saw me approach his car he took off like the coward he is.  I asked him for an interview, on camera, where my words could not be distorted.  Apparaently, that was not attractive to him.

 

I then took my TV Cameras down to the Westword offices to see if anyone else would like to be interviewed, or interview me.  The managing editor said he could not be interviewed.  Mmmmm.  If he can’t talk – who can?

 

Here’s the bottom line:  They do not want me to interview them and they do not want to interview me – ON CAMERA – because they would not be able to distort words. 

 

They’d rather write one-sided stories, slanted the way they like em, and they hope people won’t fight back.  Guess what?  They got the wrong guy here.  I will fight back.

 

So, if Westword want to be fair, I urge them to interview me each and every time they want to do an article about me.  And I, in turn, will interview them – ON CAMERA.

    I read the Westword  take on the story, I've also heard, seen and read your take on the story and I have to say that the more you say Martino, the deeper you dig your hole in m opinion. You come off as an egotistical pompous ass who had his ego bruised! GROW UP, find some dignity/class  and get off the blow if you have not already done so!


    If what the Westword has reported about you  over the years were not true, you would have taken them to court! You of all people would be the first to call the attorney if the story printed were not true....I can not find any court recrods of this nor have I read anything from you or the Westword on the matter and I did not find any "corrects" from the print on anything Tom Martino related.


    So I am suggesting that maybe, just maybe they DO KNOW a bit more about you than you would desire and maybe they have shared details about your private life you would prefer to keep private. Guess what Tom, that is what happens when you are a "celeb"! You are under the micoscope at all times...you should know this by now! If you don't like it, maybe it's time to get out of the biz!     Tom, you now have competition with Team Dave Logan. Do you really want petty, shady story set-ups  and LAME blog post to be the focus of your followers & clients?


    BTW, did you ever pay the taxes owed on your crack row houses in 5 points?


    Martino, what made you think that a shady, deceptive lure to get Jared face to face on camera was a good move for your career. Did your 19 year old intern devise this lame plan? Pathetic and sad.........Westword Cowards? I think not!

  • If you can take criticism, why did you take down the troubleshooter.com discussion board? You were being highly criticized at the time the board was disbanded. Don't even try to make the claim you were redoing your website, because the discussion board was taken down a year before you changed your "Pay to play" site. Try challenging someone on neutral territory instead of using your cameras and your crew. The truth is your true nature would be revealed and your career would end.

  • You can take criticism ? Hah- I openly laugh and like you said will not tolerate lies- especially from you. I once tried to talk to you without criticism and as a man to a man and you screamed names at me nonstop without me getting to say anything all because you assumed I was going to criticize you. At the time I was actually on your side. But your big fat mouth, ego and attitude proved to me that not only are you a child, you don't really care what the public thinks about you- as long as it's hero worship. For the record, I use your "referral" list religiously. Anyone that is on it WILL NOT get my business ! Thanks for the heads up !

    You refer to "Pay for Play". 


    Look around, the entire media world is "pay for play" ... or did you really think that they all exist for your enjoyment?


    Get real.  Advertising is NOT evil.  Unless people openly promote things they know to be bad -- just for the money.


    By the way ... last I checked, even Westword is "pay for play" or are they now giving away free advertising?


    I don't expect to change your mind, but I add this for people who may read this and actually understand the concept.
